New to massage? Here are some helpful tips before your first session.

  1. When you book your first appointment, I will send you a new client intake form to complete, which is a link via email. Very quick and easy to do. If you prefer to fill out a paper form, you can do this at your appointment.

  2. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment and we can have a quick chat and consult to talk about your needs.

  3. Drink plenty of water beforehand to help keep your muscles and tissue hydrated. This helps with the manipulation of the muscles creating an even better massage experience!

  4. Remove any jewelry before your session. You are very welcome to wear your jewelry to the session but will need to take it off for your massage.

  5. During winter, bring an extra layer. It can be a bit of a shock to the system after being warm and cosy in the massage room and stepping outside again!

  6. You don’t have to talk during your session. This is your time. We can talk if you wish or if you need to switch off entirely, then allow yourself the time to enjoy some delightful silence. I always have relaxing music playing to add to the experience.

  7. I use a range of massage balms and oils. Some are infused with essential oils while others are unscented. If you don’t like fragrances just let me know and we can use an unscented option.

Your wellbeing is my priority and it is my aim to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating space for you to enjoy your session. Feel free to talk to me about any concerns or worries you have before your first massage session.
